The times have certainly changed and the coronavirus has many of us and those we serve under stay at home orders and trying to practice social distancing.  Read more below about how so many within our community of care are continuing campaigns and even adoption proceedings despite the coronavirus. The innovation within our system of care to keep our communities, families, partners and even our youth “connected” during these unprecedented times is a tribute to the innovations and collaborations that have come to define our community of care and are a daily reminder that we are all #InThisTogether.

Florida Coalition for Children COVID-19 Response

FCC leadership and all of our member agencies have been monitoring the progress of the novel coronavirus, now known as COVID-19.

We have formed a COVID-19 Response Leadership Taskforce with FCC leadership, DCF leadership, and our member agencies. At this time, we are working collectively and in the communities we serve to safeguard and manage the impacts of the coronavirus outbreak and its potential impact on the vulnerable children and families we serve.

We will continue to keep all FCC members and stakeholders appraised of any developments or systemwide impacts. In the meantime, we encourage all in our community remain diligent and continue with education efforts and precautions to ensure our workforce, and all in our care remain healthy.

Our member agencies care for over 50,000 children and families in crisis each year, providing critical services and programs to this vulnerable population throughout the state. Some of these services include residential and group home care, emergency shelters, residential treatment centers…
