FCC Launches 2020 Virtual Conference!

In light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the health and safety of our child welfare community and those we serve is the FCC’s utmost priority, the Florida Coalition for Children Foundation, Board of Directors, unanimously decided to cancel the in-person 2020 FCC Annual Conference.  Instead, FCC will be hosting virtual conference sessions as part of our new and growing Learning Community. For the remainder of 2020, FCC will host a variety of virtual training opportunities.

These 90-minute sessions will feature presenters across our continuum of care and will highlight a variety of child well-being topics. To register for the sessions, click the “register now” link under each session.  Participants may register for sessions individually at $35 (FCC member rate). CEU credits will be offered for each session.

Login information for each session will be provided to registered participants 48 hours prior to the session start time.

For more information or to register, please visit FCC’s Virtual Conference page.

Florida Coalition for Children COVID-19 Response

FCC and all of our member agencies continue monitoring the progress of the novel coronavirus, now known as COVID-19.

We have formed a COVID-19 Response Leadership Taskforce with FCC leadership, DCF/Office of Child Welfare leaders, and our member agencies. At this time, we are working collectively and in the communities we serve to safeguard and manage the impacts of the coronavirus pandemic and its ongoing impact on the vulnerable children and families we serve.

We will continue to keep all FCC members and stakeholders appraised of any developments or systemwide impacts. In the meantime, we encourage all in our system of care to remain diligent and continue with education efforts and precautions to ensure our workforce, and all children and families in our care remain healthy and safe.

About the Florida Coalition for Children

Our member agencies care for over 50,000 children and families in crisis each year, providing critical services and programs to this vulnerable population throughout the state. Some of these services include residential and group home care, emergency shelters, residential treatment centers…
