Partnership Opportunity - The MANicure Movement - Child Abuse Prevention Month

FCC member, Embrace Families, established the MANicure Movement several years ago as a way to heighten awareness during Child Abuse Prevention month.  It has been successful both in building awareness and generating donations.  FCC members have reached out to ask about bringing the campaign to their markets, and the below information can assist you in doing so.

Attached is a proposed partnership agreement that outlines the information and materials Embrace Families would provide to your organization to be part of this campaign in 2019.  There is a modest cost involved, which primarily covers the cost of the “prevention blue” nail polish and other campaign materials. Below are some samples of some of the materials that would be made available to your organization – using the Heartland for Children logo to reflect how partner logos would appear on campaign collateral.

Embrace Families can also make it easy for you to establish this as a fundraising tool.  Take a look at the manicuremovement.com website; in particular the sample “Support Our Fundraisers” page.  This page is still in development, but it gives a sense of how Embrace Families can offer custom and individually branded fundraising pages for each participating organization – which would allow you to create your own online fundraiser quickly and easily, so that it is deployable throughout the month of April.

What is attached is only a sampling of what Embrace Families can provide to support your effort.  Here is a quick overview of those materials:
  1. Infographic card – This two-sided print piece folds to business card size.  Everyone who gets their nail painted walks away with this information.
  2. Signature block – This is designed to be added to your email signature throughout the month of April.  You can hyperlink this image directly to your campaign fundraising page.
  3. Selfie frame – One benefit of this campaign is it has great social media reach.  These “selfie frames” are popular with people who have their nails painted and then post a picture in the frame stating their support for the child abuse prevention movement.  The campaign also includes a variety of selfie signs, which you can see pictured here.
  4. Save the date – This is a sample invitation from our campaign kick-off event.  Not only are you invited to attend that event on April 3rd in Orlando, but Embrace Families will also advise you on how to put together a similar event in your own market.

If your organization is interested in partnering, click here. Please contact [email protected]embracefamilies.org or [email protected] if you have questions.  Embrace Families looks forward to continuing to build and expand this initiative and would love to see it go statewide.
