FCC Hurricane Relief Efforts
A Message From FCC CEO Kurt Kelly
FCC has been coordinating with our member agencies and the Department of Children & Families (DCF) to support the implementation of disaster preparedness plans as Hurricane Michael impacted the Florida Panhandle.
Throughout the storm, FCC and our member agencies worked to ensure we consistently communicated with families in care who evacuated and to ensure resources were in place for a coordinated response after the storm.
Now the recovery begins and its critical that our FCC family comes together and supports agencies, children and families that were impacted, particularly in the Big Bend.
I know many of you have already come together and started partnering to provide support and resources. Right now it will be important to let the impacted agencies and DCF implement their recovery plans and that we all remain supportive and available to provide support and resources as they are needed.
Throughout the recovery efforts, FCC will continue to be in constant communications with DCF and state officials as we continue to assess damages caused by Hurricane Michael and respond to the storm’s impacts in Florida. Below are a few useful resources.
- Florida Statewide Emergency Information
- EOG State Preparedness Information & Resources
- Panhandle Updates & Resources
- Red Cross Hurricane Michael Relief
As always you can reach out to us if there is anything we can be of assistance with by emailing [email protected].
