Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Florida’s Therapeutic Foster Care Program provides therapy, support, and training to children and families in the foster care system. Based in Orlando, FL, this therapist position is responsible for providing therapy to children and adolescents in foster homes, schools, and community settings in Orange, Osceola, and Seminole Counties, assessing clients, developing individualized treatment plans, consulting with and training foster parents on therapeutic interventions and behavioral programs, and providing on-call telephone support for the program’s foster homes on a rotating basis. Devereux provides laptop, iphone, and travel reimbursement.

Education:

Master’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology, rehabilitation, special education, or human services field required
2+ years experience working with children or families in need of mental health, behavioral health, crisis intervention, or related required
Other Requirements:

Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Mental Health Counselor in the State of Florida preferred.
Valid Driver’s license required
Successfully pass pre-employment medical screenings which include: Drug Screen, Physical, Physical Abilities Test, TB Test and Influenza Vaccine
Devereux requires all individuals interviewing for a position involving contact with children to complete The Diana Screen, a screening that assesses a candidate’s understanding of appropriate boundaries between adults and children.
Schedule:

Must be able to complete a two-day new hire orientation class (Monday & Wednesday); hours are approximately 9:00am to 5:00pm each day
