Ensure that all required documentation for federal funding eligibility (IV-E, Social Services Block Grant, TANF) is completed on appropriate forms. Enter all required eligibility documentation into necessary automated systems. Keeps files up-to-date and neatly maintained.
4 Year Degree.
Two years in a clerical, data management or related field. Experience in federally funded entitlement programs preferred. Knowledge of foster care, relative caregiver, adoption, Medicaid and TANF systems necessary. Experience in data management and data entry helpful.

Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration

% of Time
Monitor Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) Due Report and FSFN eligibility report to ensure that TANF application is completed accurately on each in out-of-home and in-home placement.
Research various electronic state/federal database systems to capture potential income for parent(s) and enter said information into the electronic IVE application in Florida Safe Families Network (FSFN).
Enter all forms of Title IV-E/Medicaid eligibility data in FSFN for pending adoptions.
Enter adoption demographic information in Adoption Subsidy database.
Resolve Medicaid issues for foster care and adopted children.
Update FSFN eligibility regarding placement changes using Placement Tracking Forms and requesting pertinent documentation from contracted Case Management Organizations (CMO).
File all pertinent eligibility documents in the electronic foster care and paper adoption files.
Complete notification to ESS/Children in Care (CIC) regarding status/eligibility changes for children in foster care, relative placement and adoption.
Complete Interstate Compact on Adoption and Medical Assistance (ICAMA) applications for adopted children entering/leaving Florida.
Ensure that eligibility in all automated systems matches eligibility on Notice of Case Action (NOCA).
Verify Medicaid in Florida Medicaid Managed Information System (FLMMIS).
List those duties you perform on a periodic basis (these are activities you perform infrequently, such as quarterly, annually or as requested).
Provide placement/eligibility information for community partners
Participate in Rev Max weekly conference calls.
Participate in no less than monthly one-on-one supervision meetings.
Perform other duties.
Supervisory/Decision making Authority
The position does not require customary supervision and management of at least 2 or more full-time employees.
Provide two examples of the most common decisions made independently by this position on a regular basis without following prescribed procedures.
Determine how best to prioritize and manage workload.
Contribution and Impact
Provide a summary of results or outcomes the position is accountable for. These may include budget, revenue or non-quantifiable measures that should be observable.
To ensure that all paperwork is correct with our CIC staff, FSFN, and ICWSIS, so that payments are being issued from the correct funding source.
Describe how the position contributes to the business unit’s overall strategy.
This position/department ensures that eligibility documentation is collected and maintained to maximize our use of federal and state funding; that Medicaid is opened and maintained for each foster care and adopted child; that pertinent funding follows placement changes of children in out-of-home care.
