Meet Brandie McCabe
Name: Brandie McCabe
Title: Director of Policy & Youth Engagement
What is your role at FCC? Coordinate One Voice IMPAACT (OVI) projects and activities by collaborating with FCC members, including regional seminars, Ambassador Program, House Pages and Messengers Program, the development of quality standards for the delivery of youth and young adult transition services, as well as the development of the My Person mentor program.
Favorite (fun) part of working for FCC: I really enjoy watching the youth develop and refine their social skills through OVI. It’s amazing to see the youth uncover their hidden talents and discover their path to success.
Hobbies outside of work: When I’m not working, eating, or sleeping, you might find me at a Zumba class, walking a trail, or playing tennis. Basically, I enjoy most any outdoor activity. Also, anything that keeps me connected to friends and family brings me happiness.
Favorite song: There are too many great songs out there. Depending on my mood, there’s no telling what someone might hear on my playlist. Really, I like music from almost every genre.
Fun fact about you: I received a certification for Underwater Crime Scene Investigation (UCSI) from FSU back in 2003. I haven’t investigated any real crimes but did get a chance to video and inspect the fateful bridge scaffolding collapse that occurred in Panama City. The evidence acquired by our UCSI program was turned over to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration for their full incident report.
